Stewardship

Reach your goals through stewardship:

Use social sciences to transcend culture by effectively communicating an increased education of

sustainability practices and improved resiliency measures globally.

Develop a complex relationship of increasing trust between the educator/powerful and the student/vulnerable that provides for a long-term transformation toward social justice and equity.

Global and Regional Transformation through Ecological Literacy and Social Justice

A pedagogical framework can help to address the global and regional transformation of people of all backgrounds needed to address the threat of climate change over the next decade.  The transferability of sustainability education to all cultural backgrounds is essential toward the resiliency of communities. “The teacher who understands the experiences of students from different cultural backgrounds can use that knowledge to help students learn subject matter” (Gollnick and Chinn, 2013).
